Frequently Asked Questions
An Introduction To Lyricraft Studios
Lyricraft Studios is a custom song creation service that produces personalized songs for individuals, families, and special occasions. Customers provide the story, memories, names, details, and musical preferences they want included, and we use that information to create a song specifically for them.
Songs can be created for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, memorials, thank-yous, celebrations, and so many more meaningful moments.
Of course not. Every Lyricraft Studios project begins with your story, details, preferences, and the musical direction you provide. We shape the lyrics, structure, creative direction, and overall production around that information, then use modern music-production technology, including AI-assisted tools, to help bring your song to life.
The technology helps us create high-quality custom music efficiently. Your story, our creative decisions, your feedback, and the direction we develop together are what make the finished song uniquely yours. The result? A song that’s truly authentic, emotional, and uniquely yours, for hundreds of dollars less than competing services.
Understanding Custom Songs
A personalized song is a unique musical composition tailored exclusively for you. It can encapsulate a memory (or memories), describe a relationship, or convey a specific sentiment by incorporating your details, preferences, and back-story into the lyrics, which is something you can't do with pre-written songs.
Customized songs are chosen for a variety of occasions, offering a unique and heartfelt means of self-expression and connection. Some common motivations include:
- Milestones & Celebrations: Capture joy and significance for events like anniversaries, weddings, birthdays, proposals, and graduations.
- Love & Family: Show your love with a "Just Because" song or create a family legacy piece.
- Special Events: Enhance corporate events, vacations, and new arrivals with a custom song.
- Expressions of Loss: Pay tribute and reminisce about loved ones with an in memoriam song.
- Business Branding: Craft a memorable jingle that mirrors your brand's identity and resonates with your target audience.
The possibilities for custom songs are truly limitless, serving as a potent tool for conveying emotions, forging memories, and infusing a personal touch into any event.
Our songs are typically 2:00 to 5:00 in length. If you desire a song longer than 5:00, please reach out to us directly for more information.
Pricing & Payments
Our original songs start at just $39. The price changes from there based on the complexity and length of the song, initial previews, rounds of revisions, and more. We strongly recommend reviewing our song packages to find the best fit for your needs. As always, please feel free to contact us for a complimentary consultation if you have any questions before purchasing. We're happy to help!
Every Lyricraft Studios song is created specifically from your story, so by the time the full song exists, the custom product has already been made. After purchase, we’ll send you a short creative-direction preview, typically around 30 seconds, so you can hear the musical style, vocals, pacing, mood, and overall feel before we complete the full production.
If you love the direction, we keep going. If you’d like us to try something different, you let us know and we adjust the approach before moving forward. This gives you a meaningful opportunity to shape your song while protecting the creative work required to make something completely original for you.
Your song is developed in a clear sequence. After purchase, we’ll send the initial preview or previews included with your package so you can hear the overall musical direction, including the style, vocals, pacing, and mood.
Once you approve a direction, we’ll move forward with the full production of your song. When the completed song is delivered, you’ll then have the revision rounds included with your package to request any final changes.
The initial preview is designed to confirm the direction of the song before full production begins. It is not a series of ongoing 30-second previews throughout the entire production process.
If none of the initial previews included with your package feels like the right direction, let us know before approving one. Additional creative-direction previews may be available for an added fee.
Once you approve a direction, we’ll move into full production of your song. Any further changes after the completed song is delivered are handled through the revision rounds included with your package.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover credit cards. We also accept PayPal's "Pay in Four" which allows you to pay over time in 4 interest-free payments on all orders totaling $49 or more!
Because every Lyricraft Studios song is created specifically for you, all sales are final and all payments are non-refundable once work on your custom song has begun. To be clear, work begins the moment we start creating your initial preview.
Your initial preview gives you the opportunity to confirm the creative direction before we complete the full song. Once you approve that direction, we move into full production, and any revision rounds included with your package can be used to request final adjustments.
If Lyricraft Studios is unable to complete your project due to an issue on our end, we will contact you directly and work with you on the appropriate next step, which may include a replacement, rescheduled delivery, or refund when warranted.
Absolutely! We plan on frequently running promotions, discounts, and even special events where you can win a custom song for free! Be sure to sign up for our email list to stay up-to-date on all of our latest news and offers.
At this time, we are not offering gift certificates, but it's a feature we're certainly looking to incorporate very soon. Stay tuned!
Process
Lyricraft Studios combines human creative direction with modern music-production technology to create each custom song. Your story, preferences, memories, and feedback guide the process from beginning to end.
We shape the lyrics, musical direction, vocals, arrangement, and production around the details you provide, then refine the song through the preview and revision process included with your package.
The goal is to provide a finished song that feels personal to the story behind it, not something pulled from a generic template.
Initial previews are short creative-direction samples, typically around 30 seconds, created after your order is placed using the story and preferences you provide.
Depending on your package, you’ll receive the included number of initial previews to help confirm the musical direction, vocal style, pacing, mood, and overall feel of your song.
Once you approve a direction, we move into full production of the complete song.
Initial previews are typically delivered within one business day after your order is received. This gives us time to review the details you provided and create a personalized creative direction for your song.
Orders placed on Saturdays, Sundays, or federally observed U.S. holidays will begin processing on the next business day.
Yes. Each package includes a specific number of revision rounds, which you can use after the completed song is delivered.
Revisions are meant for adjustments to the finished song, such as lyric changes, wording, pacing, pronunciation, or other reasonable refinements within the direction you approved during the initial preview stage.
Once your finished song has been delivered, simply reply to your project email with the changes you’d like us to make.
Please be as specific as possible about what you’d like adjusted, such as a lyric, pronunciation, wording, pacing, or another detail within the approved direction of the song.
Each completed revision round counts toward the number included with your package.
Most songs are completed within 1–2 business days after you approve your initial preview.
Need it sooner? Rush Delivery may be available for an additional $19, with your finished song delivered within 8 business hours after preview approval.
Rush Delivery is subject to production availability. Business hours do not include weekends or federally observed U.S. holidays. Your delivery timeframe begins once your initial preview has been approved.
Content & Creativity
Absolutely. You can choose the genre, mood, vocal style, and overall musical direction you have in mind when placing your order. We’ll use those preferences, along with the story and details you provide, to shape the initial preview and overall direction of your song.
If you’re not sure what style would work best, that’s okay too. Jus give us the feeling you’re going for and we can help guide the direction.
Absolutely. If you’ve written your own lyrics, poem, letter, or other original material, we can use it as part of your custom song. Let us know whether you’d like your words used exactly as written or whether you’re open to adjustments for rhythm, phrasing, rhyme, or musical flow.
Please only submit material that you wrote yourself or have permission to use.
If your lyrics require substantial changes to fit the selected song length or style, we’ll let you know before moving forward.
We welcome a wide range of stories, humor, emotions, and personal expression. However, Lyricraft Studios reserves the right to decline content that is unlawful, threatening, hateful, exploitative, or otherwise inappropriate for our service.
If you’re unsure whether your idea is something we can work with, just contact us before placing your order.
